The eleventh annual Stove Show took place from
14th-16th May in
the grounds of the Charlcote Pheasant Country Hotel near Stratford
upon Avon. The 2002 Show was the biggest since it's foundation in 1991 and
saw the annual gathering of most of the UK stove industry retailers,
manufacturers and importers.
The quality of the stands were most impressive and as always
there was plenty of new product development (as well as the latest industry rumours!)
to stoke the fires of even the most wrinkly of the Old Stovies!
The educational and social aspects of the Stove Show
was also enhanced this year. Technical seminars in the afternoons were provided
by NACE, NACS and the NFA (National Association of Chimney Engineers,
National Association of Chimney Specialists, and National Fireplace
Association), and on Wednesday evening - appropriately enough the eve of one of
the hottest days of the year - an evening of entertainment was enjoyed with
music and hog roast washed down with just a little lubrication! (visit the Photo
Gallery for pictures!
The show is organised by a committee made up from the major UK
stove manufacturers and distributors chaired by Charnwood.
